Let’s Talk Filler – What to Expect
Curious about filler but not sure what the process involves? Here’s a simple breakdown to help you feel confident and informed.
1. Consultation First
Before anything else, we’ll have a thorough consultation to chat about your concerns and what you’d like to achieve. We’ll assess your facial structure and recommend the most natural and flattering approach. This is a no-pressure conversation — we’re here to guide, not push.
2. Treatment Day
On the day of your treatment, we’ll cleanse the area and may use a numbing cream to make you comfortable. The filler is then carefully injected using a fine needle or cannula, depending on the area we’re treating. Most clients say it feels like a small pinch or pressure, and it’s over quickly.
3. Immediate Results
You’ll see results straight away, which is always exciting! There might be a little swelling or redness, but this usually settles within a couple of days. Some areas (like lips) may feel slightly tender or tight at first — this is normal.
4. The Final Look
It usually takes about 1–2 weeks for the filler to fully settle and for any swelling to disappear. At that point, you’ll really see your refreshed, natural-looking results. When filing clients I love to look at the whole creating a seamless look that is unknown to others.
5. How Long Does It Last?
Most fillers last 6–12 months depending on the area treated, the type of filler used, and your own metabolism.
